Position Overview:

Teens with Trauma is on a mission to empower and heal young survivors of sexual abuse and trauma. We are seeking a dedicated and licensed therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate should be passionate about making a difference in the lives of teenagers and children affected by sexual abuse and trauma. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a highly trained trauma therapist, provide critical care, and contribute to the healing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Services: Provide individual and group therapy to teenagers and children who have experienced sexual abuse, offering evidence-based trauma treatment modalities.

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Utilize your language skills in English and Spanish to assist non-English-speaking clients, conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and communication as necessary.

  • Assessment and Documentation: Conduct thorough assessments, maintain detailed case notes, and prepare progress reports for clients.

  • Evidence-Based Trauma Training: Continuously update your skills by participating in training sessions, including EMDR and other therapeutic approaches.

  • Collaboration: Work within a diverse team of professionals, including social workers and counselors, to provide comprehensive care for clients.

  • Client Advocacy: Be a strong advocate for clients' needs and rights, creating a safe and empathetic environment for recovery.

  • Flexible Schedule: Work in the afternoons/evenings, ensuring accessibility for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Provisionally licensed or fully licensed therapist in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

  • Passionate about helping teenagers and children affected by sexual abuse and trauma.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Reliable, dedicated, and compassionate.
